I recently had successful cataract surgery under local anaesthetic, followed by laser capsulotomy on the left eye.

Having read what the procedures involved I have to admit that I was not looking forward to the experience. However, the Ophthalmic Surgeon, Mr Shah, was very professional, explaining in detail what was involved. Most reassuringly he said that the local anaesthetic made the procedure more or less painless. He was absolutely correct. Apart from a slight stinging from the initial eye drops, the procedures were completely painless.

Having had glasses for the last twenty-five years or so they now are no longer needed, apart from a slight magnification pair for reading. In summary, Mr Shah and his team were first class, the procedures very quick and completely painless, the result excellent!
